Although basically a black and white snake, the beauty of the Boelen’s Python (Morelia Boeleni) lies in the wonderful iridescence of its scales. The superb Ulysses Butterfly, feeding on Hibiscus flowers, is included in the design.
The original oil painting was entered into the Wildscape 2009 wildlife art competition and gained Tell the award of Runner-up Wildlife Artist of the Year.
