This was the first painting that I completed after my visit to the wonderful Galapagos Islands. It was an awesome experience and I could easily spend the rest of my life painting its amazing wildlife. The painting depicts Land Iguanas on their South Plaza island home. Also depicted is a specimen of the Galapagos Lava Lizard (Microlophus albemariensis) amongst the Giant Prickly Pear Cactus and the colourful Carpetweed.
